Stand up for Food month

One million tonnes of food prepared by the hospitality and food sector is thrown away each year. Sadly, 75% of this could have been eaten. We fully support Stand up for Food month at hubba and urge everyone not to waste food. For any food that does make it into waste bins, we send it to an Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plant where it is used to generate electricity or gas and what’s left is turned into a compost fertiliser for farmers. We believe that all waste is a resource that should not end up in landfill but reinvested in the circular economy.
